RAM Management buys Wilmington R&D facility

RAM Management Co. Inc. purchased a 103,000-square-foot R&D facility from New Boston Fund, Inc. for $11 million.

The building, located a 100 Research Drive in Wilmington, Mass., is 65 percent leased to tenants including Nelson Bach USA, Polymer Technology Corp. and Aerial Acoustics Corp.

RAM Management plans to upgrade the property and lease the remaining 36,000 square feet of class A laboratory space. RAM hired Jim Thomson and Dough Jacoby from Newmark Knight Frank’s Boston office. The property is located on 15 acres in the Ballardvale section of Wilmington.

RAM is a 32-year old real estate management and development company based in Scarborough, Maine with offices in Wakefield, Mass. And Miami. RAM was the original developer of the factory outlets in Kittery and Freeport, Maine as well as in England, Belgium and Israel. The firm was also responsible for the revitalization of the Old Port area in Portland, Maine.
